Guided Walk along Art Trail

Wednesday 28th July

Four churches- Aldborough Hatch, St. John’s Seven Kings, St. Paul’s Goodmayes and All Saints, Goodmayes - have formed an art trail. They are all within walking distance of each other and in each Church are interesting works of art. St. Peter’s, for example, has a stone-carved sculpture by Anthony Foster depicting Christ as the Good Shepherd, a decorated organ, and the unmissable painting of the Crucifixion by Woodford artist, A. Wyatt.

The group is likely to spend 15 to 20 minutes at each church and take 20 to 30 minutes to walk between each church.

At present the suggested times are:

2.00pm - St. Peter’s Aldborough Hatch
2.40pm - St. John’s Seven Kings
3.15pm - St. Paul’s Goodmayes
3.50pm - All Saints Goodmayes

For those who would be unable to walk the whole route, we will suggest using the 365 bus along Meads Lane and from Barley Lane to Green Lane.

For more information, please see the attached broadsheet by clicking on the link below. Alternatively, pick up a leaflet at St Peters Church, Aldborough Hatch.

Local apples needed for Harvest Festival

Calling all Hainault residents!

Do you know of any local apple trees whose fruit usually goes to waste? If so, Forest Farm Peace Garden want to hear from you!

Forest Farm Peace Garden will be celebrating its 7th harvest on October 10th this year. In celebration, they are running an Abundance Project and working with local residents to pick apples and pears in streets, gardens and open spaces that would otherwise go to waste. These will be turned into delicious apple juice and other apple products available on the day.

If you know of any apples or pears going to waste, or want to donate your own, please contact the Garden Coordinator on 07963 762667 or email Information@forestfarmpeacegarden.org
