Hainault Community Project

Local issues, local action

About us

The Hainault Community Project (HCP) is about local people in Hainault discussing the key local issues facing the area and working with the Council and other partners to address them. The HCP aims to improve and enhance Hainault for everyone.

See our Projects section to find out what we've done so far!

How it all began

The Project began in Summer 2007, when questionnaires were sent out to all residents in Hainault asking for their key concerns and priorities for the area. Open meetings were held and a community-led Steering Group emerged to organise projects and activities. In July 2007, elections were held and the HCP elected a Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer.

The HCP has listened to what local people in Hainault would like and has developed a Community Action Plan for the area. The steering group meets monthly to discuss and deliver the Action Plan.

Open meetings are held two or three times a year and are available for anyone to attend. Open meetings provide an opportunity for you to find out more about the HCP, put forward your views and get more involved.
