Energy Saving for residents

In June this year, the Energy Saving Trust, supported by the HCP, are sending every resident in Hainault a Home Energy Check questionnaire that asks about your energy use in the home. Simply fill out the questionnaire and send it back free of charge to receive a personalised report on your home. The report will tell you how to save energy and save money on your bills.

Everyone who sends back a questionnaire will be entered into a prize draw to WIN A £200 VOUCHER FOR FOREST FARM SHOP OR TRITON CYCLES.

Picture framing at Link Place from only £5!

Link Place, a personal development centre for people with physical and/or sensory disabilities, has opened a new picture-framing department. Some of their service users have been trained in framing and offer a high-quality framing service at fantastic prices.

You can have almost anything framed, from pictures and certificates to rugs and football shirts! Prices start from only £5, with a variety of frames and sizes to choose from. Coffee Morning this Friday!

Head down to the Hainault Library on Friday 22nd May and spend a relaxing morning having a chat over a cup of coffee. It is a great way to meet new people and you could also help raise money for The Haven House Children's Hospice by entering the raffle or making a donation. The event will run from 10.30am until 12 noon.

'Give or Take' Open Meeting

The HCP combined their Open Meeting with a 'Give or Take' event on 28th March. More than two hundred people dropped in to give away some unwanted items or to find a bargain, with plenty visiting the HCP stand.

Dawn Chorus Walk at Hainault Forest

Sunday 10th May, 5am to 7am
Come and hear the wonderful sounds of morning birdsong. Join the rangers for a walk around the forest, ending with a tasty selection of breakfast treats.

Kielder close parking is approved!

After months of negotiation between the HCP, the Council and other stakeholders, Kielder Close Day Centre has finally been given planning permission to park its mini-bus on the hard-standing outside.

The HCP goes online!

The Hainault Community Project has launched its own website, which goes live on 28th March 2009. It will update members on projects and news, as well as promotoing local events and activities. Complete with an interactive forum, the website will allow members to discuss issues and ideas online.
