Small Grants Programme 2010

The HCP Small Grants Programme 2010 has been a great success! We've awarded a total of just under £10,000 to community and voluntary groups in Hainault and helped six different projects to prosper!

Here's a list of the groups and projects we've funded:

· Installation of a new ramp at St Paths Church enabling wheel chair and community access for church and community hall
· Soft surfacing and plants for the Busy Bees Pre-school garden
· Alert boxes for some of the shops along Manford Way (subject to Area 3 match-funding)
· Get Fit Stay Fit classes at Hainault Youth Centre
· 'Introducing Music Technology' classes at Hainault Youth Centre
· Day Trip to Stubbers Outdoor Centre for Hainault young people through Hainault Youth Centre

This year the HCP is awarding grants of up to £2,000 to individuals, groups or organisations in Hainault that are interested in running projects or activities for the benefit of the community.

Who can apply?

o Any group, organisation or resident from the Hainault area can apply.
o Any proposed projects or activities must take place in Hainault for the benefit of the local community.
o The HCP will award grants for projects or activities that will contribute towards achieving the aims of the HCP Action Plan, which include:

· A safer Hainault
· A cleaner, greener Hainault
· More local facilities in Hainault
· More activities and skills training for adults
· More activities and skills training for young people in Hainault
· A stronger Hainault economy
· The improvement of Hainault residents’ health, care and well being

o To be eligible for a grant, you, your group, or your organisation must meet the HCP Small Grants Programme Terms and Conditions (see below or contact Sarah on 020 8708 2200).

How do I apply?

o Simply fill out the Application Form below and post to Sarah Swalheim, Planning and Regeneration, Town Hall, High Road, Ilford, Essex, IG1 1DD. Application forms can also be emailed to sarah.swalheim@redbridge.gov.uk.

What is the deadline for applications?

o Application Forms must be completed and returned by Friday 23rd April 2010.
o Successful applicants will be notified by post by Friday 7th May 2010.

If I am successful, when and how will I receive the funding?

o If you are successful, your approved HCP grant will not be given to you directly. Funding can only be utilised in the following two ways:

1) You can provide receipts or proof of payment and funding will be reimbursed. All proof of payment must be received by Sarah Swalheim, Planning and Regeneration, PO Box 2, Town Hall, High Road, Ilford, Essex, IG1 1DD no later than Friday 16th July 2010.

2) You can forward invoices to Sarah Swalheim at the London Borough of Redbridge (contact details above) for payment. All invoices must be received no later than Friday 16th July 2010.
